Absolutely, you should be thinking of ways to help her. It is clear to me that you want to help your friend because you care about her, not because you're trying to manipulate her and gain her affections. Anything done out of love for another is a good thing.

The danger of disintigration comes when you're acting out of fear--Fours under stress disintigrate to Two because we're afraid. And then it's not a case of disintigration coming about by thinking about helping someone--it's almost a reflex reaction.

I have found that my greatest personal growth occurred when I DID go out of my way to help others and open my heart to them. These times were not a reflex disintigration, but a conscious decision based on the feeling that I really did want to unselfishly help a friend. It's just a matter of acting from a place of love rather than a place of fear.
