It takes actually doing the assignments. That's all I have to do to get an average grade in school. Do the assignments, take the tests, and that's it. That's good enough for me, but has never been enough for anyone else.

[Who is anyone else and what do you care what they want? Why can't you do the assignments? You'll fail your own and others standards more if you don't do it at all. I used to not hand in essays because I was afraid of looking stupid (actually all my tutors thought I was clever, but unusual), but anyway, my History tutor said, 'How much more stupid will you look if you don't do them or hand them in?' He was right. I wanted to get a good grade at college and knew I wasn't achieving my potential, but now I'm just really glad I got through it and passed with an average sort of grade. I don't have to prove myself, people know that I'm clever anyway, though I don't maybe go along with the Academic style of writing. I've been accused of being too passionate in my writing, but it's the passionate writers that stand out. I'd rather write a book than do a PHD anyway. It's nice that people believe in you, but you don't have to meet their expectations when and how THEY say. I'm sure you've got your own internal and maybe external agenda. You know Richard Branson? The multi millionaire businessman who runs Virgin Airlines/Radio/Trains/Record STores? He didn't even get his basic maths exam!]

So the origin of Matches is lost in the mists of time. Except for its link to Matt. It's a cute name. I'm sure there was someone in a film (gangster probably), part of a group or gang who was the small cute one, who was called Matches - may have been a reference to pyromania!

I just wanted to know if my idea of you was anything like the real thing. Small meaning slightly short and of smallish build/small frame. Cute - well you know, sweet. There was a quiet boy at school called Malcolm and I suppose I imagine you as looking a bit like him. I don't know how you have a visual image, it just comes naturally to me to have a picture in my head of what people here look like. I don't think about it,it's just there. Do you have brownish curly hair?

Tigs.
