Advice from one who puts things off.

Don't stay up late, it seriously affects your mood and abilities the next day - especially at homework time.

Don't get behind with your work - it's not worth the stress. you may feel you want to do something else other than writing an essay, but there are usually too many of those moments and you end up in a mess. Why not do a couple of paragraphs, then post a couple of messages ...and so on. It's important to learn to defer pleasure (dull thought that sounds)in order to a) not incur a whole load of pain later.
b) find fulfillment.
c) get into good habits that make you feel disciplined and capable.

I know those words may be turn offs, but I wish I had learned to be disciplined when I was younger and wasn't so easily distracted from what I was supposed to be doing.

Avoidance is a very destructive habit too.

These words may sound harsh, given your slight reference, but I wouldn't want you to end up like I was.

PS. I am a teacher. You can't get away from them, even on here!
