Obviously American indoctrination of its citizens. Most people just get by. Won't you have to work harder if you get a job? Isn't there anything you're interested in that they do at college? Subjects studied at college rarely have any obvious application to the jobs taken up by students when they leave. Employers just want to know that you are capable of doing what's required of you and are reasonably intelligent. I don't know if it's the same over there, but here people at work are expected to do exams and courses too. They have to take NVQs (National Vocational Qualifications) which can be quite tedious as you have to amass a file of evidence that you know what you're doing in your job. Time isn't usually give off for this. Money is nothing unless you have a reasonable amount. Most people I know are worse off than they were as students, after they've paid the rent or mortgage, bought their work clothes, paid their travel costs etc. Can't you find some way of enjoying yourself there? I loved having access to a library and to a gymn and swimming pool. You never said what things you were interested in generally.
