I have felt the same feeling. Unfortunately, I too, am experiencing detachment right now. However, it is the detachment that saddens me, as I am not only detached from the one person I love the most, but am also detached from my feelings for her. The detachment also encompasses "tuning out" the world. What world? Huh? Did you say a plane crashed? Wait---what do you mean today?!?!? I thought that happened last week??? Um...uh.....

I can't believe I miss this stuff....(and even when I "don't" miss it, I screw up the info!)

This particular detachment--and perhaps this was true other times as well--feels to me as though it is a defense against feelings I don't want to deal with. Yup. Something worse than detachment. For me, this detachment is an escape. I'm very afraid of the feelings I'm keeping at arm's length. I know that this has to do w/ my 5 wing. It's classic 5.... I wish everything was ok....

Do you think this (keeping other feelings at arm's length) might be part of what's behind your detachment?
