: Dear Hal,
: Chill out, dude! It's not about smarts or comparing yourself to a fish. It's about understanding yourself, taking inventory and deciding to do something about your weaknessess.

: Sound kinda like integrating, don't it???

: P.S. As far as fish are concerned, you should try Cichlids. They have great personalities. I have a Turqoise Discus that lights up in pure joy when my wife talks to him!

Okay, I guess I mis-spoke. I know it's not about intelligence, but when we're not aware of our motivations and actions, we tend to act blindly out of instinct, just as my fish. So yes, it does sound like integrating and disintigrating.

I've had some dwarf Cichlids in the past, but I never got really interested in the big ones. But even the dwarfs have personalities and unselfishly tend to their young. They must be 2's, and like a 2, they can become your worst enemy if you threaten people (or fish) that they care about (am I taking this a bit too far?)

Discus really never interested me though; they're pretty, but just too inactive (type 9, I'd say, with an 8 wing when herding the young'uns.)

I think this thread started talking about relationships, didn't it? I'd still like to hear what Summer has to say about the push/pull of a 4.
