Well, my hypothesis seems to be no better than about 50-50. But it certainly is interesting to hear what everyone has to say about it, especially about how many of us wanted to be different from others, and even different from the way we are. I've read that in left-handed people, the brain functions are not as separated between left (logical) and right (non-verbal, artistic) as in righties. Maybe it really has more to do with personality type (being a 4, or a creative type) than with handedness.

For anyone who wants some more details about the body parts associated with the different types (Andy?) I posted a description on the regular message board under "The Spiritual Enneagram" thread.
