I believe that "stereotypes" are applicable to the degree that people are entrenched in (and controlled by) the universal passions of humanity.

4 intimate - "dramatist" - (according to Palmer and associates, they view
relationships as a kind of "competition")
4 social - "brooder" - shy, self-doubting
4 self-preservation - "rebel," "self-punisher" - compulsive, controlled

4w5 - "enigma" psycho-spiritual searcher
4w3 - "aesthete"

3 and 5 seem to make sense as "wings" of 4, because 4s seem to be caught between the desire to be known and affirmed, and the desire to be hidden, private, "spiritual." The Enneagram is full of rich little tidbits like this, if you look into it.
