: Self Good/Other Good
: This type is characterized by irrealistic delusions of happiness, peacefulness, and idealism. Their world is "perfect", and they are "perfect", and everything is just "perfect". Problems are just ignored and swept under the rug, but when problems begin increasing, it puts more of a strain on their minds to be in control and focus on the artifical happiness they created.
[C] - 7 and 9. The seven in its excessive hedonism, and the nine in its failure to recognize real problems.

: Self Good/Other Bad
: This type lives by the belief that they alone know what is right. Intense feelings of narcissism, superiority, and having a one-track mind are common symptons of these types. These feelings can also be extended towards a group, in which their "family" has the right philosophy to live, or knows what is best for the world. People of this type may view themselves as heroic martyrs or crusaders.
[C] - 1, 3, 6, 8, possible 2, 4, 5. I see this as ranging all the way across the enneagram. Ones best exemplify this attitude, in that they feel they have to change others to "do the right thing". Threes tend to be narcissistic. Sixes can become highly partisan and extremist. Eights assert their authoritarian dominance unto others, with a belief that they should be in charge. For Twos, they may feel its up to help others who are in need. Fours can get elitist/aristocratic...just look at how unhealthy ones compare themselves to the "useless masses". Also, Fives can become convinced that what knowledge they have is right, and not to trust the world around them.

: Self Bad/Other Good
: This type is plagued with insecurity, low self-esteem, inferiority to others, self-hatred, and even masochism. They may feel they are a burden to others and don't deserve to live. This could be characterized when a parent scolds a child for doing something wrong, and the child is hurt for having let their parent down and accepting it as their fault.
[C] - 6, also in 4 and 9. Sixes feel good about themselves when they do what is expected of them. Their natural loyalty and determination cause it to be so. It should be noted that the Six itself is one of the most complicated types, and it's not surprising that the Six can also manifest behavior which is the mirror of this neurosis, i.e., feeling that the Self is Good, and Other is Bad. Fours sink into this level after having been in the previous. Eventually they become so mentally tormented, that they can't hold up the illusion that they are in any way good. Whether or not the outside world is good or bad, Fours have the most potential of any to hate themselves. This neurosis also affects the nine, but in a more disguised way. Nines feel that what they do is of little importance, and people are better than them. Much of the Nine's personality is centered around this irrealist type. "You are ok if the people around you are ok."

: Self Bad/Other Bad
: This type rebukes all joy or meaning in the world and in themselves. To them, everything is a seething cauldron of disgust. Extreme nihilism combined with a terrofying vision of having been locked in this world for eternity may drive some to suicide. Anything positive is readily dismissed as "illusion" by these people. Life has lost all value, so why live it?
[C] - 4, 5. While the Four can hate themself with a passion, they can also equally hate the world around them. Intense feelings of envy can wallow up in the Four's soul, spilling itself out in vehement tirades against the world. A lyric from a Smiths' song goes: "I decree today that the world is taking and not giving...". Some Fours may expect the world to "give them happiness", and as a result of a bitter disillusionment, turn on it with full force. As for the case of the Five, they might come to despise of themselves for having been incompetent and failing to find a niche in life for them. The best description of the Five's slow descent down the staircase of neurosis is best exemplified in Riso's Personality Types.
