I believe that 4s have an ability to "introject" which can make (pardon the psychobabble) boundaries an issue for us. (I claim it has been so for me.) There are countless aids to lessening our compulsions. Working with meditation, breathwork, and, even, stopping to think before I speak has helped me. I tend to react strongly, and have often presumed what another was feeling/thinking, based on my own introjection.
