: Dear whoever. This is my first time contacting anyone on a web site. I have been into the enneagram for five years now and I am a four all of the way. I hope to meet some more of you. : I am an actress and professional singer---is anyone else? : Everything I own is purple and I find it odd that the background for our site is purple. : Does anyone else love going to coffee shops, drinking lattes and talking for hours? : Is anyone else too passionate for their own good? : How about mood swings? : Megan Greetings Megan :) I would welcome you to "Fourdom", but it seems that Matchie beat me to it (actually, just between you and me, I'm a little worried about our Matches....he's taken to using words like 'delightful' lately, and before we know it we could find ourselves knee-deep in any number of flowery adjectives. The boy has got to be stopped and that's all there is to it. 'nough said).... Anyway - let me answer your questions from my own perspective.... I am a professional singer. I have been my whole working life. Singing is like breathing to me - and I'd do it whether they paid me or not. (I have my own philosophy about money too - so if you're ever interested, we can always talk about that another time.) I also write most of what I sing, and it's through the writing that I get to express what's inside in a completely different way. Then, singing what I have written - with all the accompaning emotions that come from personal experience - I literally 'enter' the song and be really 'there'. I mean every word - and the listener knows it. If I'm singing a cover, I always choose songs that I can relate to and that evoke memories of my own experience. I just love it....it's that simple. There's nothing odd about the chosen colour of Fourdom - I'm fairly sure that it was quite a deliberate choice. Many authors have commented on the 4's propensity to various shades of purple - so it seemed appropriate for the colour of Fourdom. It's lovely, don't you think? Coffee shops, cappacinos and lively discussion - sounds like you're describing my favourite past-time. I do it at any and every opportunity! Passionate? Yes! Moody? No....I'm with Matches on this one. It's more like the experience of the human psych in all it's heights and depths. I experience highs and lows - but they don't exercise the same degree of control that they once did....which translates to a much calmer existence. You have a very exotic ancestry....what a story there.... Anyway, welcome to the fray Megan :) smiles Amanda :)
