Not because of the definition or connotation, but because it sounds so idiotic. I like "normality" better. Note to the champions of normalcy: If you're going to exalt it, at least use a decent word. To do otherwise is equivalent to a prissy schoolmarm snapping to her students "Study your MULSIPLITICATION tables." Now, I think it's "work." Whenever I see that word, I cringe. I have never seen a more derogatory word, I think. Mules work. Jackasses work. Machines work. Human beings don't work, unless they want to be disgruntled. They *create*.
