: : I got very surprised to read in some of your previous posts that a lot of you have a type 2 mother. I think it can't be a coincidence. : : My mother is a perfect 2w3 average to unhealthy. I am her only child. I was 33 y o when I managed to "escape" from her over-protectivness and domineering and started my own life in another country. Now she wants to move to us (I live with my 16yo son). Even the thought of it drives me crazy! : : I have to mention I feel very strange in her presence. I feel very tense, blocked, unable to do my usual things, and feel more self-conscious then in anyone else's presence. : : I feel rage inside what I cant show her of course. I feel guilt because of all these above and because I know I owe her love and unable to give her. I almost hate her. I get a sort of creepy-crawly feeling when she touches me. : : I love to be alone. I love peace. Every year she spends some months with us however I never invited her she just takes it natural to belong to us (she is a widow). : : My questions: : : 1., Can I ever change my negative feelings toward my mother? Should I ? How ? Or should I tell her I am unable to live with her ? How ? ( I can live with her but than I would end up in a mental hospital very soon!) I started to tell her about the Enneagram but she is not interested in it at all and does not believe it is possible to type people. : : 2., Any of you feel similar toward your mother 2 ?
