I quit my job yesterday. It was a very dysfunctional office
and I finally decided not to put up with the abuse anymore. I
went to tell the boss that I was leaving. He told me that I should
quit being such a "female". He said that if I were a more intelligent
person (I am a member of Mensa) that I wouldn't behave so emotionally.
He told me that I needed to use the left side of my brain more and
to be more of a thinker instead of a feeler. He basically said that I
need to change my whole personality. I can't believe how unfeeling
some people are. I like who I am and because of my sensitivity I have
qualities that others don't such as intuition, creativity, and an
ability to be moved by art. Why do some people view sensitivity as a
character flaw? I think these people would be happy if humans could have
their "feeling parts" excised. Then life would be neater and more
rational. I don't know about you but I would hate to live in a society
of robots. Thanks for listening!
