Try your best to put yourself in the photographer's shoes for a while. You should be able to do this, since it is relatively simple for fours to reach into our bag of tricks to pull out our "nine" aspects.
If after a reasonable period of time you don't understand the method behind this person's madness and/or you still think you can run circles around him, acknowledge the implied lesson in the experience: should you find yourself in a similar position in the future, at least you learned what NOT to do... ;-)
