It's the old self-selecting sample thing... Most 4s are very much into self-discovery and self-understanding and stuff like that, with the result that you get lots of 4s involved in discussions like these. Similar with 5s, because its an interesting system, and its on the net, you get lots of them, too...
Now it is possible that 4 is a 'sink' for mistypings, as you say, but I would guess that the main cause of this bias is the effect that I've described above.
