Dear Ras et al,

The four is an individual that, by design, fails to identify with either parent. More than at any point in the history of America, children are born out of wedlock and the present young generation grows increasingly cynical due to continued downsizing in the workplace.

What the heck does this have to do with the price of tea in China, you might ask? As a result of the economic development of our nation, our parents (known as the "Baby Boomer" generation) actually had to bring in two separate incomes to the average household. We grew up with the TV set as a nanny rather than getting the chance to really share with our parents. As a result of this demographical phenomenon we suffer from a lack of identification with our parents, or ambivalence (Love-Hate relationship).

As a result--at least in America--there will be three types that will dominate our generation (known as "Generation X"). When a child is ambivalent to both parents, it will end up a four. When a child is ambivalent to the mother figure, it will end up a seven. When a child is ambivalent to the father figure, it will end up a two.

As a group, the sevens will probably do what they've done for thousands of years: run away from pain and introspection. As a group, the twos will probably try to manipulate everyone else by guilt-tripping them. And, finally, as a group fours will keep on belly gazing and seeing the darkest possible outcome in every scenario.

If you wish to integrate and become the best four you can be, learn the ways of type one and move away from the ways of type two. It is simply said, but difficult to do.

If we can help you in your quest, just drop a line...

Mercurio

P.S. By the way...as a group, what are parents like in Sweden??? ;-)
