Hi Hal;
I feel that your comments are well observed and valid.
When I am secure in a relationship, I start to nick pick
as if I am moving towards Enneagram point 1 the Perfectionist.
My subconscious reasoning may be that the more genuine it is, the
more perfect it should be and the more perfect it is the more
genuine it must be.
Eventually this wears the person down and he starts to back off.
I then become all sweetness and light like I am a Enneagram 2,
the Giver. I not only find excuses for the imperfection I formerly
accused him of, I blame myself for his past mistakes which were
his very own mistakes not mine.
