Enneagram Type 4 Board Archive Re: Dear friends, may I ask you this question?......Posted by Ronnie on December 16, 1999 at 05:34:07: In Reply to: Dear friends, may I ask you this question?...... posted by Tiggy who is being unfairly persecuted. on December 15, 1999 at 17:02:33: Heh, I did erase the whole thread, didn't I? The reason I crudely, violently, harshly, insensitively, threatingly, e-villy (yeah, right) singled you out that your message to jimeny was more offensive than his to you was. He didn't even use any words that need to be ask if they are offensive, his style was patronizing, though. For those wondering where this "dumb bitch" vs. "cheeky bastard" comparison thing comes from, it never was on the board, you might get a different idea from Tiggy's response to Ev in this thread. It was in an email I sent to Tiggy, literally: "As long as you call you someone a 'cheeky bastard', I wonder what right you have to cry about someone calling you a 'dumb bitch'" Make up your own mind based on that. I think Tiggy didn't even respond the question, but evaded it and started debating on the issue which one is a worse expression. I'm still waiting for the answer, btw. The reason why I wrote about it on the board AND sent an email was that I wanted add that comment personally so it wouldn't have to be dealt with in public as it seemed to be a tough thing for Tiggy back then, but obviously it was wasted effort on my part. What I'm wondering here is that people are talking about this issue here, changing opinions and so on, but no one seems to be interested in asking me what happened. You all know what the rules on the main board are (or will know, if you bother to click on the link saying "rules" there) and that I'm applying zero-tolerance. I could've just deleted Tiggy's message and the thread without saying anything, but I wanted to offer her a chance to voice her opinion before doing it. She didn't want to, obviously, and decided to make this whole issue a personal one (unnecessarily). So, wasted effort on my part again. I wonder if I should start posting questions like this whenever I feel singled out when I've just been doing the job as I've found it's best to do. Better not, I don't want to clutter anything. :) Ronnie (8w9, moderator of the main board)
