Some of these are a bit tougher to answer. But, here goes...

: 1. Feel that neither side of your personality (4 or 3, if you're a 4w3, for example) is expressed adequately?

Sort of. It often seems like the reverse feeling, that one side is over-expressed. Sometimes I feel like I come off as too much of a cerebral, stuck-in-my-head 5. Other times, I feel that I come off too much as an image-conscious, deceitful 3. I suppose I could see it as my 4-ishness not being expressed enough, but I tend to see it as my true self not being expressed--different aspects of my personality taking over and hiding who I really am.

: 2. Have pack-rat tendencies? (e.g., you find an old birthday card that someone dropped... or maybe even a shopping list....)

Not for other peoples' stuff, but anything of my own has high sentimental value, and I hate to get rid of it. It's like throwing away part of myself.

: 3. Love the sound of old recordings (as opposed to your standard audiophile, who demands surround-sound stereo digital recordings)?

No, not at all. I like the purity of sound modern technology provides. I listen to the music, not the nostalgia.

: 4. Poignantly remember certain strangers that pass you, whom you see for only a few seconds... and then, perhaps even create mental scenarios about them?

All the time. I remember people most if either a)they're very attractive (which can lead to all sorts of fantasy scenarios) or b) I feel like I've wronged them in some way, even if it's just being mildly impolite. Sometimes thinking about that can bug me for days.

: 5. Enjoy making up silly names?

I used to when I was a kid. Something similar I do is go over word origins and meanings in my head for no good reason at all. (Okay, it's not exactly the same, but strange words are similar to silly names.)

: 6. Enjoy taunting people in comical voices?

Absolutely not. I know how it feels to be taunted, so I don't do it to anyone else. I did this sometimes to my brothers when we were kids and I still feel bad about it.

:
: A note about my recent inquiry: "Do Fours necessarily dress flamboyantly?" ... I get the impression that, quite often, a person, probably of some other type, will see someone dressed like a walking theatrical display, and say "He/she must be a Four or a Seven." With this mental schema, they then conclude that this sort of manner, in the case of Fours in general, is the rule.

: I was also disconcerted by a post, some time ago, in which a very bold person insisted to a self-described Four that she must be mistaken - that she couldn't possibly be a Four, precisely *because* she didn't look and act like a walking freak show.

: That's why I'm looking for a tally, of sorts. How many of you "decorate" yourselves? And please don't get technical or "broad-minded"; I'm sure you know perfectly well what I mean, like it or not. I'm not judging you, I'm just trying to reconcile the popular conception, or, if necessary, separate it from the truth.

As I was saying in my answers to your previous questions, Derf, I only "decorate" myself in understated ways. I make sure to brush my hair neatly. I have a beard that I keep trimmed short. I wear an old ring that's been passed down from my Grandfather to my Father and then to me. I have no tatoos, piercings, or anything else that you would call decoration.
