To Mercurio (can I call you "Shakespeare?") and Milly:
Suppose Milly did overreact just a bit? Really, Milly!
In that case, even a niggling little apology will do well.
I don't know any more about Milly's situation than Shakespeare or Boon or anyone else on this board, but I live by a rule: it takes two to screw. So, assuming Milly's friend is not deranged, maybe an apology really is in order. Did I forget to mention that maybe Milly's friend should apologize, too, after Milly "lets loose" on her about the distress that the Six friend's mistrust has caused the hyper-reactive Four?
Shakespeare: not only does it take two to screw; it also takes two to make amends. It's all part of one logical process. But don't forget to follow your hearts! (Making sure, of course, that your intellect is as educated as your emotions).
...Why do I always leave something out?
Life is a game of compromise. The trick is to learn what's worth compromising, in light of the possible rewards. Sometimes you need to let a friend off the hook, especially if they're going through tough times. I'm not saying "be a doormat"! There *are* structures and limits, and there are uncrossable lines. But one question you should ask yourself: is this situation worth severing your frienship for? If not, then yes - you did overreact, and that was unwarranted.
If anyone thinks I'm just being bigoted or preachy, then the least I can do is try to explain my viewpoint as clearly as possible.
G'night.

(Oh, one more thing, Mercurio. About your "doesn't amount to a hill of beans" reference: I considered asking you if you were a fellow Casablanca fanatic, but then I realized how stupid that might sound, since nearly every phrase from that movie has become part of popular culture, and we've literally got people who have never seen the movie who can quote half the script. Tell me then, have you seen it? And if so, should I write about it on the 9gram movie board? That board needs a little spice and variation: i.e., non-action films made before 1990. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. There was recently a post about "Coming to America." My bad. Ha ha ha!)
