If I had a dime for as many newbies who have asked that question...I'd have a whole lotta fours! Uh, wait, that's not how that line goes...nevermind.

:Are there really that many of us??

No. If you think about it, there are probably more 4, and 5s on the internet than any other of the types. Since both are socially awkward, the 'net is a great place for them. What you see here on the fourboard is typical four behavior...their motivation is to find themselves! So, they all group together with like-minded people, since they feel they aren't understood by anyone else other than people like them, and through writing, learn more about who they are. And a 5 wants to understand the world, and a way to understand the world is to understand the people in it. The enneagram gives them that. 4w5/5w4...you gotta expect them to get into this personality stuff.

:And how come there's only a Type 4 board, and none for any of the other types?

Because there were so many fours on the mainboard, that the conversation constantly turned to issues regarding fours, or at least that's what I heard. So, Becca, the lovely site owner, made this board for us.

:P. S.--I'm a newbie, by the way, so nobody be too harsh on me. I'm liable to shrink back in my shell like the poor Four I am, heh heh.

Good luck here then! Some people can be pretty damn harsh.
