: I think a five's inclination to believe or not rests on whether the concept makes SENSE to the individual. As many of the others have already stated, atheism isn't just "a five thing." I think you'll find two basic flavors no matter what type you question. : If it seems as though there are more atheistic fives, perhaps it is because there many who cannot understand or make sense of the concept. For those who are more scientific, making a leap of faith can be difficult when accuracy of fact is in question. : : I truly believe most atheists are fives. They think their way through life so much - they don't allow any hope in it. : : They literally 'think' all hope away. : : Leaving nothing but an uncomfortable void to feel emptiness in. : : This is a terrible feeling. : : I don't know how people can keep living like this for long. : : Doesn't it give anyone such bleak sad outlook on life - to be so pessimistic like that? : : Without my belief in God - I would have no hope in life. I would have such a hard time getting out from down under and beneath - I most likely would have been dead a long time ago. : : Whenever another dream goal of mine gets crushed by harsh cold real life finite reality not being able to happen - I get so depressed by it- the only thing that lifts me up out of it is to keep on believing and living for God - in hopes and confidence in belief that He is the real purpose why I am living for in the first place - as opposed to my ego-self. : : Life is so treacherous and difficult sometimes realistically speaking- it is only hope for the future to become/turn out better that's what keeps me staying alive, up and going. : : Reality is plain, cold, harsh and bleak. : : Hope is warm, comfortable, soft, soothing, enlightening, enticing, uplifting. : : I don't know how people can live without this.
