Enneagram Type 5 Board Archive subjectPosted by isaacthe54 on December 06, 2000 at 18:52:12: In Reply to: "we were playin dnd once.." posted by Jen on December 06, 2000 at 13:55:46: : Thanks for the reply, your input just makes this issue more interesting.. yer very welcome. : anyway, I just had to laugh when you mentioned about playing dnd with a bunch of 5s and a 6... well, I used to play dnd with a group of people. i haven't met a 5 yet who didn't get into rpgs at some point. should add another line to the "might be a 5 if..." list. if you know your friends' d&d characters better than their real ones, you might be a 5. : I was the only girl, and a good 2-5 years younger than the other 5 or 6 guys(friends) who played- and I wonder whether it was just me or female fives often find themselves in the company of males, or older males, or whatever... never any girls in our nerdery. sure, there were visitors. girlfriends and friends of friends and the like, but they were never really IN the nerdery, they just were aware of it from time to time. for some reason i know hardly any female 5s. 2, actually. one is a 56 that makes daria seem downright extatic (in a scary way.) the other just doesn't talk to people, as far as i can tell. i'm sure that there are likely jsut as many female 5s as male 5s, i mean, there's slightly *more* females, and i don't see anything necessarily male about being a 5. but i know tons of male 5s. they're all over the place, while you female 5s stay at home and chat on the internet. i blame canada. : "5ish" activites ... i've never really left the nerdery. i've taken breaks from the nerd lifestyle, and tried to pretend that i'm really into other things. but i alwyas come back. science is too cool. math is fun. d&d and chess and caffiene and duct tape and computers and craziness. i plan on being an engineer just so i can live that life professionally and get lots of money :)
