: Did some one suggest otherwise? Did you accept the introject?
: If so, Why?
: (Boundaries. limits, blah, blah)
: This is like a black person saying colored is okay. Sure is, but
: maybe the label was the problem. "Who says so, and so what!"
: (Albert Ellis)

I have trouble understanding what you just typed, however I will attempt a reply. One might say that Shizoid types are socially inept - that they are in effect - defficient compared to normal people. That - as a result of this inabitiy to communicate in social settings- they became isolated and introverted. The question seems to be: which came first, the chicken or the egg? Did the person become introverted because or their genetics? Or did they become introverted because of a lack of exposure to social situations?
Did these people turn to academic/intellectual activity as a substitute for social interaction? Or were they genetically predisposed to this type of behaviour regardless of their social history?

These are difficult questions to answer. I think the article I pointed out was interesting in that it seems that Michael could have became Shizoid because his parents did not pay attention to him as well as the fact that he simply didn't like social interaction - Once again we can see the genetic/social combination.

Schizoids may in fact be predisposed to being socially inept instead of it being the result of a consciouss choice - hard to say
