: : I'm 26. What is this shift in Judging functions? Sounds interesting.

: I've brought this up on another E board and some of the middle-age posters there said that they had also experienced this.

: We gather info using our Perceiving functions (Sensing and Intuition) and sort the info using our Judging functions (Thinking and Feeling). Both of the Judging functions are rational but Thinking uses logic whereas Feeling uses values. I use to use logic to sort info (INTJ) but as I've gotten older I've shifted more to using values (INFJ). I don't know when the shift started - I've only recently become aware of it.

Maybe because thinkers need to be secure in WHY they believe... only when they feel they've a system of values that's tested and validated can those values can be used to judge? Does it work in reverse? Do those who are F when young shift to T?

: BTW, how do you switch to boldface type for your replies? I'm such a newbie at this. The boldface makes it so much easier for everyone to keep the posts straight.

I think it does make it a lot clearer. I noticed Rotten Apple using it and thought it was a good idea. Look at the Comments box below. Before and after each of my paragraphs you will see an html code inside brackets like these: < > use "b" for bold, "i" for italic etc. At the end of the section, use "/b" inside those same brackets for ending the bolded section or "/i" for end italic.
