Eh, this is exactly what "subpersonalities" and systems dynamics are about. Sure, it is because we are complex beings that the Enneagram is a subtle and marvelous tool. So many people forget that a type is a constellation with a center and directions (a captain and a crew).

: I posted about this same "oddity" on the main board. I am a 5w4 but do often seem to "switch" and operate as a 4w5. it is not, to me so much dgrees, but really different modes. More of my time is spent 5w4 (and I do operate as a "scattered 7" when not at my best - as the Egram seems to indicate), so I'm a littel complex, but mostely a 5w4 (INTP with my second highest possibility being INFP).
