: Hello.

Hello.

: How can a five get in contact with its inside energy? I am always unmotivated. Everything seems to be very demanding. The only thing that is not demanding is thinking. What can I do?

That's a tough one, and one that I have had problems with. A solution that I have not tried, and have no intention of trying, but which theoretically works, is to set a schedule. That way, the clock can motivate you. If you have no schedule, it is much harder. When I need to self-start myself, I usually use a vague sort of schedule dependent on my body. When I wake up, I do something. When I go to sleep, I do something. After I eat, I do something.

This may not be your problem, but if it is, that's a good way to solve it. If the root of your problem really is a lack of energy, there are zillions of ways to fix it. Do yoga - it may take a lot of your time, but if you can manage to get yourself to do it, it will give you extra energy. Watch your diet - avoid unhealthy stuff. Don't drink coffee - in the long run, it makes you more tired. Get plenty of sleep. If you have trouble motivating yourself to go to sleep, then stay up as late as you want, but also go to sleep in the afternoon, so you will always get as much as your body needs. Do various energy visualization techniques - they can help you out psychologically. These are easy to do and require no preparation. Imagine yourself filled with active energy, energy to go places and do stuff. You can even put an image to the energy so you can visualize more than yourself perked up and awake - for instance, you could make it a light, or you could make it a fire, or a cloud, or whatever. Fill yourself with the image, or get a strong image and then link it somehow to yourself. You might mentally superimpose the image over yourself.

If your problem is getting up to do something, or intending to get up to do something, but then stopping and thinking "ack, too hard" or "bleah, maybe not," it helps to imagine the negative thought that stops you from action as a physical object, and clear the object away, and also try to clear the thought away. The image I use is myself as a ball that tries to roll, but has a claw (the slothful thought) that grows out of its base, pointing upward, and sticks into it when it begins to roll in any direction. I then imagine the claw retracting, and the ball rolling freely.
