I'm still scratching my head wondering what "cold inside" means. Thanks god I allow myself the freedom to experience either cold or warm both inside and outside depending on where and whom I am with in which kind of settings. However, my inner life tends to be fairly even and calm, except when going through a conflict. When it comes to understanding or mapping the dynamics at play, I really prefer to use the etype configurations together with wings and directions.
Now my thinking style is very independent, I may read in a book something I'll agree with, if I have come to a conclusion about something on my own and read something in a book that contradicts it, I am likely to drop the book, not my thoughts unless it points to specific facts I had no knowledge of and that those facts alter my own views. I enjoy most books that feed my thoughts in the same direction or logical patterns, that will deepen and refine my present knowledge. I hate books that sound like dogmas or locked truths, the "this is how it is" style! I like books that stimulate my thinking process.

Gather round, everyone. I'm feeling unusually introspective and melancholic this morning and I need to work it out of my system if I'm going to be up for some Saturday night fun.

: So, I read the other day a statement that I haven't been able to shake from my mind:

: INTJ- cold on the outside, warm on the inside
: INTP- warm on the outside, cold on the inside

: I've read enough to understand they are talking about Ti/Ne vs. Ni/Te but the technicalities of that are not what I'm interested in. Personally, do you find this to be true. If so, how does it affect your life?

: Me? INTP. I come off as being very friendly, the few emotions I have (they are very few) I wear on my sleeve... when I'm angry everyone knows it, I focus on others... am generally accommodating and easy-going. BUT my internal world is absolutely ruled by logic. I think when people really get to know me, they are surprised to find out what a cold-hearted person I truly am. A lot of people... I suppose the Feeling types mostly... seem to think that is in some way wrong or even less human. I wonder.
