if you go horizontally, you get the equilaterals. there's some similarities there, in how one relates with the outside world. "object relations theory" is a fancy way of saying this. and, there's lots of ways to describe hte three groups.

from upper left to lower right, you get the focus triads.
vertically, you get the base motivation triads.
from upper right to lower left, you get the obsession triads.
