: Up to two years ago, aways scored as INTJ (very heavy I,T,J). Now scoring mostly as IXTJ. The Enneagram came back as a tie between a 5 and a 1. With 8 being the next. Oldham if I understand correctly shows me either as an Idio.., or Solitary.

: What does this mean? Is my 100% T, and analytical profession, making my N drop? Perhaps my relationship with my INFP spouse?

What it means is that personality tests are imperfect measures of personality. Questions in the best personality tests are chosen according to how people of a certain type statistically answer them. Statistical reliability is the best kind of reliability any test can hope to have. This means that it will identify a high percentage of people who are a particular type. But how you answer questions can be shaped by your personal history, your mood, and other factors besides your personality type. So all that any personlity test can ever do is point out what type you have some probability of being. It helps direct you in figuring out what your personality type is, but it cannot authoritatively tell you what your type is. This is as true for the MBTI as it is for my own DDLI. No personality test has the authority or reliability to just tell you what your type is. To know what your type is, you have to know what it means to be that type, and then you have to evaluate for yourself whether you really are that type.
