I've never had any kind of serious relationship with a 9, although two good friends of mine whom I dated awhile back are 9/1s. Much as I enjoy their company, I thought each of them lacked enough fire to really meet me head-on. I'm a 5/4, and though I dislike conflict I can be pretty aggressive when I need to be, and am always looking for a good argument!

I tend to end up with a lot of very strong 1s and 7s. The 1s sooner or later tend to think I'm undisciplined, and I find them too nitpicky and judgmental. The 7s seem to think I'm too serious, and I don't have the energy to keep up with every single momentary wild enthusiasm they have. I had a long-term relationship with a 6/7 that was a lot of fun, but he was financially irresponsible which did not bode well for keeping things secure on the home front. Other than that, we were very compatible; he knew I was weird, but thought it was interesting.

The worst matches I ever made were with a 2/1 who thought he could somehow "tame" me, and a 4/3 who was too busy bonking everything in sight, and using his terrible childhood as an excuse.

I've had a difficult time of it romantically as a female 5/4; a lot of men have found me fascinating, only to back away when they realize that I never "shut it off" so to speak. Everything is open to being questioned. That I need a lot of privacy doesn't help, either. So I just work on my art, and write, and deal with getting my house fixed up, and figure if there's someone out there great, and if not there's always going to be books and cats...
