The correct spelling is Monoamine Oxidase. I apologize for my many misspellings as typng is not my forte
Anyway I also saw a coreelation with point 3. There is a natural opiate like protein in the Central nervous system called Beta Endorphins. The action of these Endorphins can be blocked with the drug Naltrexone just like Morphine can. We often talk of nine narcotization and Morphine of course is a narcotic. There was an article in Psychosomatics that had two gropups of Angina pts induce angina attacks theough exercise on a treadmill. One group consisted of Type A personalities a fair number of whom were probably threes. They went on the treadmill (a form odf stress) and the electric readings of the heart activity would show anginal activity.Yet they repted chest pain significantly later than the non type A (Im hypothesizing non Enneagram 3 to some degree)patients. Could it be that the strss induced pushed the threes t "nine narcotization" possibly mediated by the Endorphins and this was responsible for thier higher pain threshold? In fact the blood levels of Endorphin was consistantly higher in the type A pts than in the control patients. Could Beta Endorphin be the neurochemica basis of nine narcotization? Food for thought
