Enneagram Type 5 Board Archive oops, thot this was kb's post. sorry eye. (this is meant as a compliment, fergus. i love your test. i just hate egram tests.) : kb, you should use the rheti if you want a test you can abuse us all with. it's much more suited to your theory. and just because there are questions that you were ambivalent about does not make the test necessarily flawed; not any more than it's flawed in the sense that every enneagram test is very badly flawed. : fergus says that it measures triadic preferrence because that's what the test measures. he didn't say that you'd easily be able to answer every question. but every question puts a mark under one of 3 triads, at least as far as i understand it. what are you arguing about? : isaac
: : : You have misused my test. Its scores are not designed to reflect the order in which a person prefers each type. All her scores on my test indicate is that she might be a 4. Furthermore, this test should be used only for personal self-exploration, not for second-guessing someone else's personality. Emily bears some blame for revealing her scores, but you should know better, because I already told you that the results from my test do work well with your theory, because it does not measure how strongly a person favors each type. It measures how strongly a person favors each triadic group. : : It doesn't really measure how strongly a person favors a triadic group...to do so, it should be more weighted. Some questions I'm nearly indifferent, while at other questions I have a strong preference. The test does not allow for this kind of answering precision...
