i'm sorry in my reply to your lst post i asked if you knew of a connection between 5s and dopamine and acetyicholine, althouth i'm curious about it too, i meant dopamine and norepinephrine.i've read some interesting things about neuropeptides, often called gut brain hormones, and how they allow comunication between all organs and the brain(in the east they would call it chi)reaffirming the body mind connection.also i read,in some book i can't find, that each type has an organ and endocrine gland associated with it,that they characteristicaly over use or abuse.i strongly suspect their is at least some truth to this, and a connection between certain organs/neuropeptides as well as neurotransmitter/receptor types to personality types and health.only the specifics need to be determined.like the possible 7-1-4 seratonin, mao connection.makes you wonder if the various triads aren't the results of differant combinations of these interacting.

: An enneagram 6 when they are relaxed shifts to their nine core point. Again we have nine narcotization. I observed two enneagramsixes in my Pharmacy both withthe same disease, alcohol induced pancreatitis. I hyppothesized that alcoholism may to a degree cluster around point six due to a sixed high level of anxiety and the fact that alcohol is a known anxiety reliever. Two cases may be interesting but scientifically indicate much less prove nothing. I further hypothesized that given the comfort that a six feels i a like group it would make sense that a lot of people in alcoholics anonymous could well be sixes.
: I read an article by mike huber who works in minnesota wwith alcoholics. He had picked up on what was writtn and stated that a large portion of his alcoholic clients that he worked within his psychological practice were indeed sixes many of them counterphobic. He studied the life of Bill Wilson, the founder of alcoholics anonymous and concluded that he was a counterphobic six.
: The drug naltrexone is currently FDA approved t treat alcoholism and t decrease the alcoholic cravings. Physiologically it is believed that the endogenous opoids the endorphins mentioned in a previous post about point three play a role in the alcohol induced "high." Blocking their action with naltrexone decreases the pleasurability of alcohol and decreases the cravings. this is another possible exampleof the role of endorphins in nine narcotization and may be a fruitful area for futher investigation. Correlating the enneagram physiologically will go a long way to scientifically proving what is now a theory of behavior as applicable as it may well be
