as far as i've seen, every 54 fits the textbook description of ad(h)d (without hyperactivity) perfectly. (with the hyperactivity, a lot of 7s fit the bill.) every 54 i've known either has been diagnosed with ad(h)d, or
i wonder if ad(h)d is just a diagnosis for being a 54. ritilin, dexidrine, and a few other speedy drugs, in moderate doses, seems to have a really great effect on fixing some of the malfunctions common in young 54s; instable attention being the main source of difficulty. ie, they "zone out" a lot, can't concentrate on anything remotely tedious but are absorbed into things that interest them at the exclusion of all else, far more than is "normal". i don't know if this means that ad(h)d is just a bs way to explain away normal young 54 behavior, but taking ritilin as a kid really helped me a lot.
a few 45s i know have been diagnosed with the disorder as well. not sure how that figures into it.
