Jung once had a pt wh dreamed of a sea overrunning the beach he was standing on and felt the emotion of terror in his dream. Physiolofically I think someone who is deranged enough to be morally capable of using words like "physiolofically" in polite society should be shot. : this makes sense as life began in the sea. The post that stated water as yin (the triagram Kan of the I ching is quite correct at least in men as the unconcious in a man is viewed as yin. One of the important unconcious figures in a man is the anima (feminine soul in Latin) which comes up in dreams as a woman, often an unknown one. Baptism which is a rebirth symbol is also an apt interpretation as the new personality that forms as a result of the intermingling of the ego with the unconcious is a form of rebithe It is my understanding that anyone's unconscious is predominantly yin. I mean, it's a thing that hides in the background and has secret and subtle effects on the person's actions.
