I can't see that. Sure, curiosity is great for the species, but for individuals it's almost always its own reward. While exceptions abound, curiosity and action generally don't mix, which is why incurious people do so well in the world. I think it's because success is so synonymous with singlemindedness, which does not sit well with the truly curious mind.
