: hamster, i'm particular thinking about what you've said about yourself in high school, as a 65 without a social life. bart seems to have a lot of similar issues. the emotion thing is SO totally un5ish, plus his arguing tactics are very un5. oddly enough, bart, when you were posting under anonymous, i had you typed as a 65, just from how your arguments about language were focused. lots of appeals to authority and social acceptance.

I'm not saying you are wrong about my type, but that was just fitting the argument. Language is consensual. If I were arguing over philosophy, I wouldn't refer much to what other people thought, because it wouldn't support my point of view.

: most of your moral ideas seem to be derived from the fixation on truth. but that isn't even so telling as the general character and tone of your arguments, bart. you are relentlessly stuborn, much like a 1 or 65.

Make sure you read my response to Hamster so you can learn why.

: i don't think you're a 1, tho, because of the wanting to put yourself on the level of the people you would lead. 1s typically would not be so focused on egalitarianism with their flock. (except on moral or protocol grounds. ie, they would insist that the rules apply to them aswell. tehy'd just ALWAYS follow the rules so they could be in a higher position.)

: of course, without being able to hear the noise, it's really hard to figure out.

I don't get that. What is "noise"?

: i have a question that might be telling for 65ness... hamster, you might be able to think of a few more.

: situation: you are the right-hand man to the guy in charge. everything is hunky dory. then you find out that he's been breaking his own rules, and it's in a way that will cause one person in the team to take the blame. how bad is that? why? what would you do about it?

That is abhorrent. That is a situation where a falsehood is causing someone grief, and it's someone's fault that the falsehood existed. I would probably stay up late a few nights worrying about what to do. If I thought I could get work someplace else, I would expose the guy in public, with him present, probably deliberately insulting him in the process, and then I would quit. If I wasn't sure I could get work someplace else, I would be more discreet about it. If I was pretty sure I couldn't get work someplace else, I would continue without saying anything to anyone (except I might tell the person who was being blamed), but with a bad attitude toward the guy in charge.
