: : I've always thought 5s were sort of an amoral bunch... rejecting of rules and boxes... at least from a theoretical standpoint. (I think many have difficulty actually living the talk).

: ***Many of the 5's I know go to church on Sunday, hold down and excel at their jobs and are honest, moral people. People should be assessed for THEIR INDIVIDUAL PERSON,
: NOT TYPE STEREOTYPES. I think what you are getting at is 5's THINK outside the box. That does not necessarily LIVING outside it also.

>>>>Now didn't I say... 'I think many have difficulty actually living the talk'.

: : Personally, I have a sort of morbid fascination with morality. I wonder where it comes from and why people allow it to shape their lives (and often strip their lives of opportunity, peace, and happiness). Concepts like 'good' and 'evil' throw me into cartoon spins... why do we assign values to natural activities based on circumstances etc.? Funky shit.

: ***That is the bane of IXTP's that I read about. Extroverted values (ET, EF) are an IT's weak spot and therefore they (you) may have a difficult time understanding common values.

: : Isn't morality (and the guilt that accompanies it) sort of a low order concept? If we have reason with which to measure decisions, why do we need/want it?

: ***Guilt is the first borns prevalent background emotion.

>>>>I have absolutely no problems with guilt. (Except perhaps a lack of it.)

Though I know it's probably difficult to be impersonal considering recent events, I wasn't really looking for comments on my own character. I really am interested in morality as a concept and the value of terms like 'good' and 'evil'. Maybe I didn't express myself clearly?
