: Horseshit!
it's not a matter of simply changing one's attitude to achieve goals. some goals can't be achieved through a nice easy plan and some assertiveness. by asking for something regularly, by making a meditative ritual out of it, you sink the desire deep into the subconsious. suddenly, without realizing what happened, it's THERE, out of a clear blue sky. looking back, i see that certain attentions may have been shifted slightly, i pulled certain strings without realizing it, and just happened to have my eyes open for it when the desired thing showed up. i literally have a PACK of 54s in my life. that wasn't an accident. i wanted it, asked for it, and it came to me. i recruit them without even trying. so much of what you do and say goes unnoticed by you and everyone around you. we speak to one another through the subtlest nuances, subconsiously sending messages that are picked up subconsiously. this is not bs, this is actual scientifically shown fact. how could you hope to control these messages without harnessing the power of the subconsious? and the easiest and most effective way to do that is through ritual. isaac : : i don't know how it does, but it works. it really really works. i think it has something to do with letting your subconsious have a task. just ask the universe or god or your inner child or whatever, every day for something, and ask nicely, and it will appear out of nowhere with seemingly no effort on your part. just by focusing on the desire for something, i think the subconsious just starts making you pull the right strings. i'm not trying to be woowoo here, as i'm sure you all know that is SO not my thing. but prayer or subconsious requesting or skunk magic, whatever you wanna call it, it's a damn practical meditation.
