: : : ...Maybe you'll change your thinking once you're out of college too. Of course, you do see life a bit differently than I do considering I've never really had any truly positive experiences with marijuana while you seem to think it's the cure to the world's problems. But I suppose, whatever you enjoy. You seem to have a pretty happy well-adjusted life and I've never been one to impose my way of thinking on others.

: : ryan, you rock. i wish more non-pot smokers felt that way, and told their congresspeople. i dont' think it's the cure to the world's problems, but it certainly fixes what's wrong with me.

: Thanks. I'm all for both medical and recreational marijuana use. I've had a few good times with the drug and also a few pretty unspectacular times... enough to keep me from being a regular user. But I've always failed to see the true "harm" of marijuana usage. It's not physically addictive and you don't do stupid, criminal acts while under the influence like one can do while under the influence of alcohol. I have never, ever heard of a "marijuana-influenced crime" while one hears of alcohol- influenced ones on a daily basis. In fact I question the logic of making any drug illegal as long as it's used in the privacy of one's home and as long as it doesn't cause one to want to commit crimes. Of course some drugs are so addictive that laws exist merely to protect people from becoming addicted to them... but I don't think the goverment should restrict people's freedom of choice like this. If people want to become crackheads, let them... don't put them in jail because of their choice, get them treatment instead. There are a lot of stupid people out there... I think the world would be a better place if more 5s were in charge although it would still be far from perfect. Unfortunately government and electoral politics is an area we tend to shy away from, as I have no inclination to ever run for office or spend my time debating with the bunch of old codgers and rich yuppie bastards that make up the Republican party. I suppose 5s would rather think first and act later on making the world better... it's been a time-honored tradition ever since Plato wrote "The Republic" so many years ago

Isaac for President. Hey its logical you get 400kilobucks a year great pension and all the perks. If Dubya is any example you dont have t work THAT hard
Seriously though I didnt know about the Timber lobby and the anti cannabis legislation. Ill have t research this as I tend not to take a statement at face value. Still it makes sense. You know the old adage ownership (meaning money) is nine tenths of the law. When i went through a divorce I saw this adage in full force. LA law Perry Mason and Matlock are as representitive of our legal system as Miss Manners would be representive of a 5W4 who is 95% five 5% four
