You lying. LA is the smoker free city there is... smokers are few and far between and they have absolutely NO rights. It's not even legal to smoke in bars for christsakes! Can't really blame pollution either which is currently at it's lowest levels since 1950. California has the strictest smog controls in the nation and the newest cars that meet California new car regulations pollute about as much as a single cigarette. The air's polluted but it really ain't nearly as bad as it's reputation.
Coming to Hawaii, I was a little taken aback by the presense of smokers and have tasted more second hand smoke here in a couple weeks than I can remember for years in LA.
