Personally I had always heard and believed that the reason marijuana became illegal is because deep down it was the government's way of oppressing Mexican immigrants, as they were the ones who used the drug the most at first. Kind of the same reason why opium becaume illegal in San Francisco after a lot of Chinese people immigrated there. Maybe that's just a story liberals like to tell each other, though. I defer to Isaac as he is obviously more of an expert on the subject than I am.

: Seriously though I didnt know about the Timber lobby and the anti cannabis legislation. Ill have t research this as I tend not to take a statement at face value. Still it makes sense. You know the old adage ownership (meaning money) is nine tenths of the law. When i went through a divorce I saw this adage in full force. LA law Perry Mason and Matlock are as representitive of our legal system as Miss Manners would be representive of a 5W4 who is 95% five 5% four
