Eschew the triads if you wish. For the purpose of this discussion, the concept of basic fears for every type exists prior to triadizing. It is more important to understand what *kind* of fear drives each type than it is to speculate about which types are most or least motivated by fear.
I smell fear in every Five I meet. I'm sure they would deny it and say they're just being sensible. (Some Sixes do exactly this, too.) I might reply, what's so insensible about fear? It's part of the survival instinct. And as for instincts, my friend Rotten Apple always said, "Don't deny the beast!" Upon considering that, would they accept the fact that they're motivated by fear?
