I would think that every type has a different reason for pushing people away:

E3- To concentrate on the project or work. It is nice if time spent with people would serve a purpose such as better relations. If aimless idle chat is detected the 3 disappears. Another reason for pushing: Should
feelings and/or image, intimacy be questioned or demanded, the 3
withdraws. It is difficult to discuss some things. I have attended morning coffee/lunch time/tea get-togethers with girl friends only maybe 10 times in my life. But I extremely enjoy evening mixed events.

E4- Impulsivity plays a role. I have seen 4 friends open up one day and be sorry for it and push the next day. Also the 4 may suddenly decide that she does not like some thing about you and be very arrogant about it and not heed you.

E6- They are usually very friendly. They easily approach you. The ones who push you are the tense serious ones who do not know how to handle people

E1- Can be very aloof and distant. Could be that they do not want to be affected by others.
