It's been said that Fives tend to be skinny or out of shape because of their lifestyle. I would also assert that it could work the opposite way. Perhaps because a person is naturally skinny and non-physical, they seek a means of compensating for their weaknesses. What they lack in physicality, they make up mentally.

: The hormone T3 (Tri-Thyroxine) is produced in the thyroid gland and is considered to be the most important determinant of a persons metabolic rate.

: Those with a higher ratio in their Blood tend to be on average:
: Taller, smarter, skinnier, have thinner skin, be nervous and hyperactive, begin adolescence early and die younger.

: Those with a lower ratio in their Blood tend to be on average:
: Shorter, less intelligent, over-weight, thicker skinned, suffer more from depression and lethargy, begin adolescence later on in life and also die younger

: I'm asking this question because in Understanding the Enneagram Riso makes the assertion that a genetic basis for the personality types is also present other than upbringing and commented that fives more than any other type have a predisposition to a 'Hyper-active brain chemistry'.

: Could the genetically determined Ratio of T3 in the blood be the deciding factor on a persons personality type as being 5 or non-5.

: Please note: I'm not trying to promote Nazi or other Fascist ideas I'm just looking for some input on this highly 'questional' topic. The reason why I'm so interested in this Data is (other than that I'm a 5) that it is knowledge that will be a major ethical debate topic in future concerning genetic engineering and children.
