I never wished to discredit science - it's great. BUT, it IS a religion because it is just a set of beliefs that are not necessarily right (also, your comment about my "blasphemeing" it doesnt make sense unless you already were thinking of it as a set of beliefs) You could also look at it the other way - religion is a type of science - because they are both ways of looking at the world and drawing unproveable conclusions. The purpose of my post is to smack Laurence in the face - although he didn't specifically mention it, he was referring to my philosophy of perception being everything possible to know about. He was trying to use science to say that thought and stuff like that also must exist, using science. Fine if you believe that, and I do, but you can't disprove a bit of logic by using your opinion or belief.
