: ***Using risos explaination-nines withdraw from others in order to preserve peace. In other words they withdraw from stress. He wrote the id types
: look to themselves for inner strength. Complaint types please others, aggressive types please themselves. (broadly speaking)

i see what you are saying. it's a particular wierd enneagram definition, i can respect that. but in the common meaning of the word, i've never met anyone so compliant as 9s.

: : when i look at lightening, i see a giant capacitor discharging,

: ***Ah but a capacitor as I picture it is a human invention. The principal of lightening is more fundamental, is it not?

not even a little. the capacitor is a human discovery, not invention. well, nice tiny capacitors are, but there were clouds and lightening long before humans. it's exactly the same phenomenon as a plate capacitor, but the plates are kilometers wide and the distance between them is a few thousand meters. but even tho the plates are far apart, it can hold a wicked huge charge, because there's so much dielectric between the plates and they're huge. but as soon as the voltage gets up high enough, you got dielectric breakdown, and thus lightening. the principles involved are all fundamental building blocks of our universe. by definition, if there is a charge on teh clouds wrt the ground, it's a capacitor. i love being a 5.
