Writing is a tool and an artform. A good writer knows how to present herself best in context. Formality and precision in language style can also make one seem pretentious, cold, and unapproachable. The psychology of a text environment is complex. When we write here, we act as friends and familiars, inviting others to exchange thoughts and participate through our informality. Having posted in many different styles, I know your reaction is the exception rather than the rule.

In other words, you've made a fool of yourself... this is our playground... play ball or shut the fuck up.
